Being a mom can be lonely and lovely work.

The worries, the baffling moments, the ongoing demands. Wondering if you're doing it right. Wishing for more sweet & tender times of true connection...

No matter how much you love your kids, sometimes you need a minute—to regroup, to rethink, to start fresh.

(re)CONNECT Retreat for Moms is your invitation to press pause on the mental load, the self-doubt, the never-ending to do list and trade these for a weekend of soul-deep restoration and real tools to reconnect with your family and yourself.

Last year's attendees ALL rated the retreat a 10/10! Here are some of their words:

"There was nothing missing. It was very nourishing and filled with love... I felt like both the facilitators were led...I'm sure this is their calling!"

-Alana

"It was the perfect amount of workshop time, down time, reflection time, & fun time. I took a lot of notes and the suggestions were very doable. I loved the overall feeling of being taken care of!"

- Karen R. (a growth mindset mom!)

"I loved the open conversations inspired by the topics and the variety of experiences of the different women. Everyone had unique circumstances and perspectives they brought, and it really opened my mind to consider challenges in my own life in ways I hadn't considered before." - Jenni (mom of 5)

BY SAYING YES, YOU'LL GET TO EXPERIENCE:

  • A Nervous System Reset Through Nature

Surrounded by mountains and open sky instead of chaos and clutter, the tightness in your body begins to soften. Your thoughts, usually racing, begin to quiet.

Benefit: Reduced stress, improved mood, and a nervous system reset that brings emotional clarity and physical calm.

  • Time to Hear Yourself Think

Cool morning air with warm sunshine on your face and finally getting the chance to breathe. You're not interrupted. No one's calling for you. And in the stillness, a new insight arrives—not from anxiety, but from within.

Benefit: Space for self-reflection, clearer thinking, and reconnection with your own voice & instincts.

  • Real, judgment-free conversation

Hiking with other moms who also understand exhaustion, frustration, and love, you swap stories. You talk about tantrums, school battles, missed curfews, or maybe something bigger. And you realize—you're not alone. They get it. And no one's pretending to have it all together.

Benefit: Genuine emotional connection, reduced feelings of isolation, and the healing power of shared experience.

  • Nourishment You Don’t Have to Cook

You sit down at a table already set. A colorful plate—think grilled salmon, quinoa salad with lemon zest, and a seasonal berry crumble—appears in front of you. It’s warm. It’s healthy. And you didn’t chop a single vegetable or wash one dish.

Benefit: Physical and emotional nourishment, relief from decision fatigue, and the joy of being cared for.

  • New Tools, But No Pressure

In a cozy, sunlit workshop space with a view of the lake, you’re taking in parenting insights that make you nod, not cringe. There’s no judgment—just real, practical guidance from wise, fun women who have helped hundreds of moms like you find their footing again.

Benefit: Concrete, research-backed parenting strategies tailored to your real life—offered with compassion, not criticism.

  • Lasting Inner Shift

By the end of the retreat, your shoulders are relaxed. You’ve stopped apologizing for needing space. You’ve cried a little, laughed a lot, and remembered who you are when you’re not “on duty.” You return home with more than memories—you carry a felt sense of confidence, calm, and connection that your family will notice too.

Benefit: A long-lasting shift in self-awareness, parenting presence, and emotional resilience.

    WHY ALL THIS MATTERS:

This isn’t just time away. It’s time toward something:

    • Toward a clearer mind

    • Toward practical insight for the real-life parenting moments that challenge you most

    • Toward feeling like yourself again—not the “holding-it-all-together” version, but the grounded, wise, still-learning human that your kids actually need

You give so much.

It's time to receive.

Come as you are.

Leave renewed & inspired.

 MOMS' Weekend Sponsors:

The Mom Spot membership community is led by Marielle Melling, parenting educator, systems expert, author, & mom.

The Compassion Parenting membership is led by Dr. Mary Wilde, a mom & pediatrician specializing in behavioral health & parenting.

Meet your retreat hosts:

Dr. Mary Wilde is an integrative pediatrician and owner of Imagine Pediatrics Behavioral Health and Wellness in St. George, Utah. She's an author, podcaster, TEDx speaker, and creator of the Compassion Parenting framework and membership community. Her online program "Resilience School" has helped hundreds of anxious kids and teens find greater confidence and peace. Rather than focusing on outward tips and tactics, Mary helps parents connect with their own inner wisdom, clarify their values and priorities, and parent from a place of love and compassion. She and her husband Jason are the parents of 8 sons.

Marielle Melling loves helping moms simplify the wonderfully crazy journey of parenting so they can enjoy a renewed sense of purpose, peace, and joy. With a degree in health education, she has a knack for boiling down big, complex ideas to the principles that make the biggest difference for you and your family. From creating home systems that work for you to helping you build a stronger bond with your kids, Marielle's insight and practical solutions show that when you parent on purpose, anything is possible. She's the founder of Extraordinary Family Relationships, the Mom Spot membership, and the author of Peace Amidst the Mayhem and The BUT Book. She and her husband are the parents of five incredible kids.

Holly Wilde Hello and welcome! I'm a raw food chef/educator, and a licensed massage therapist, but most importantly of all; a mother of three amazing humans. It is my honor to serve you wholesome meals that will nourish your body. I also look forward to providing you with calming massages to soothe your soul. I truly believe in the power of self care. Whether it’s intentional rest and relaxation with a massage, or making sure you get nutrient rich meals - it’s just as essential as exercise and hard work. We live in a fast-paced world of constant stimulation. This makes it critical to take breaks and give yourself moments of peace and quietude. Sometimes, all we need is a good dose of self care to be able to take on life’s challenges! With a healthy body and mind we can accomplish anything AND help others along the way.

Whether you have...

a teenager who's hard to reach,

a toddler who tries your patience,

kids who constantly fight and provoke each other,

an adult child choosing a path different from your own,

or you'd just like a little more peace at home...

Whether you have

a teenager who's hard to reach, a toddler who tries your patience, kids who constantly fight and provoke each other, an adult child choosing a path different from your own, or you'd just like a little more peace at home...

FAQ's about the (re)CONNECT Retreat:

1. What does the cost of the retreat include? Your retreat ticket will give you access to two-and-a-half days of inspiring educational sessions and group activities Thursday afternoon through Saturday evening. It includes entrance to Zion National Park, a massage, and most meals (dinner on Thurs and breakfast and lunch Friday and Saturday). Another important question is, what is the cost of NOT coming?

2. Does this retreat apply more to certain parenting stages than others?

Most of the parenting principles we'll discuss will apply to parenting at ANY stage. Gathering with moms at various stages will add to the richness of our discussions. Luckily, combining the experience of Dr. Mary & Marielle, we have ALL parenting stages covered: infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age kids, teenagers, and adult children!

3. What parenting theories/styles do Marielle & Dr. Mary align with?

We support ideas from various parenting approaches including positive parenting, responsive parenting, and intentional parenting. Our goal is for you to glean the best wisdom from all reasonable approaches and to apply what works for you and aligns with your value system.

4. Will it be awkward if I don't know anyone? Every year, moms come not knowing each other and by the retreat's end they've built meaningful connections. We create an authentic, warm, and supportive space and we'd love for you to join us. If it's more comfortable for you, consider inviting a friend or a sister to register with you.

5. Wouldn't I be better able to connect with my family if I just stayed home? Shared time is valuable, yet sometimes stepping away briefly can allow you to return refreshed and in a much better frame of mind. Just as you gain new perspectives by climbing a mountain and looking over the valley, time away for intentional growth can help you see your life much more clearly. Coming to an inspiring retreat opens your eyes to new solutions and provides built in support as you work toward your goals.

6. Are there discounts for members of Mom Spot and Compassion Parenting? Yes! If you're a current member of either parenting community with an active subscription, you'll be emailed a coupon code for $100 off registration for the retreat weekend! If you'd like to join either group, there's still time. You can choose Mom Spot, Compassion Parenting, or both! If you're only interested in the parenting retreat, membership is not required--the retreat is still an amazing value.

7. Do I have to stay at Cable Mountain Lodge? If you choose to stay at Cable Mountain use the code "Wilde" to get 10% off your booking. Consider registering with a friend or sister and sharing a room (or let us know if you're open to a roommate and we'll try getting you connected!). If Cable Mountain isn't the right fit for you, there are many other wonderful lodging options in Springdale, Utah.

8. Can you accommodate special dietary needs? After purchasing your ticket, you'll receive a questionnaire about special dietary needs. The final menu will be selected with those needs in mind.

9. What if I change my mind? Are there refunds? Because of the limited availability of this event, retreat tickets are not refundable once purchased. However, we understand life happens. If you can no longer attend, simply email us at drmary@drmarywilde.com before Sept 1st, and we'll contact someone on the waitlist (if available). If we or you are able to find someone interested in purchasing your ticket, you'll receive a refund of your paid ticket price minus a $50 transfer fee. By making this ticket purchase you agree to these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to modify the retreat itinerary as needed to provide the best experience to attendees. In the very unlikely event that the retreat must be cancelled by the hosts due to an emergency or some unforeseen extreme circumstance, attendees will receive a full refund (though we cannot be responsible for other travel costs or expenses incurred).

10. What if I have other questions? You can email your questions to drmary@drmarywilde.com.

This experience isn't for you if...

  • You're looking for a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all parenting formula (we’re not selling magic wands, sorry!).

  • You're not open to self-reflection or new perspectives—even when they’re offered with warmth, humor, and compassion.

  • You’d rather power through than press pause (we honor that... but this retreat is all about pausing).

  • You're uncomfortable with open, real conversation about the hard parts of motherhood and relationships.

  • You believe being a “good mom” means never needing space, rest, or a weekend where someone else handles the cooking.

This experience IS for you if:

  • You love your kids deeply, even if you feel disconnected, confused, or hurt—and you're holding hope that your relationship can grow even stronger.

  • You're craving guidance that goes beyond Instagram advice—real tools, shared wisdom, and space to actually think.

  • You want to laugh around a fire, feel the awe & wonder in nature, to be open to tears, and remember what it's like to feel like yourself again.

  • You’re ready to get out of your head, into your body, and back in touch with the calm, confident mom you know is still in there somewhere.

  • You don’t want another parenting lecture—you want a reset that includes movement, hot tubs, soul-nourishing food, and women who really get it.
